NailChamp was a complete roller coaster of emotions...but in the best way possible. It was exciting, a little stressful, but super fun! I accepted this challenge because I vowed in 2017 to take more risks and this definitely was one. We were given 5 themes and we were to create nail art based on those themes. Each week, all the artists competed in head to head match up to see which artist would come out on top. The closest I came to winning was week 3 where I placed second.
Overall, the experience was awesome. I was exposed to new artists and new nail art. The experience also pushed my creativity and allowed me to grow as an artist. I hope there's another NailChamp. More artists should have the opportunity to participate in something so cool. Check out my entries below!
Theme: 30 minutes or less.
I used a splatter technique to achieve this look. Splatter is the simplest way to add a little something to your nails and you really can do this look in 30 minutes of less. The tutorial for this was posted on Jan 17. Go check it out!
Theme: Color.
I interpreted this theme as using one color so I decided to go with Blue. Flowers done with loose glitter pieces. This design looks great as an accent nail or on all 10 fingers!
Theme: Mood.
Cascading hearts was meant to symbolize the feeling of falling in love. Get it!?!
Theme: You Do You
The artists were allowed to do whatever we wanted. I used OPI's Color Paints and gems! I was really sad when I had to remove this. This was definitely a fav!
